Plywood is made of three or more thin layers of wood bonded together with an adhesive. Each layer of wood, or ply, is usually oriented with its grain running at right angles to the adjacent layer in order to reduce the shrinkage and improve the strength of the finished piece.

Plywoods are classified based on their construction and utility. Following are the different types of Plywoods

  • Commercial / MR Grade - (Moisture Resistant)
  • Water Resistant
    • WWR - Warm Water
    • BWR - Boiling Water Resistant
    • BWP - Boiling Water Proof
  • Marine Grade
  • Flexible Plywood
  • Fire Retardant
  • Shuttering Plywood is a highly densified plywood with a smooth film coating on both sides of the faces and is used primarily for cement formworks during construction.

Block Board:

Blockboard is a sheet which consists of a core made of wooden strips (also called strips or battens) between the two layers of plywood. Here the wooden strips are placed edge-to-edge and are enclosed between hardwood veneer sheets which are glued together under high pressure.
Blockboards can be classified based on their composition, quality, the wood used in its making, and properties such as size and thickness etc.

Classification based on the wood used for the blockboard core

At their core, blockboard sheets are made up of solid blocks of wood (also called strips or battens). These solid wood blocks are placed adjacent to each other lengthwise across the board and then the front and back surfaces of the board are covered with hardwood veneers. (usually a single sheet of 4 mm ply on each side). These core blocks are almost always made from softwood obtained from softwood trees (e.g. Pine wood is very popular in India).

While softwood core is the most common, some manufacturers do manufacture blockboards that have a core made from hardwood strips as well as hardwood veneers on the outside. Such types of boards are classified as hardwood core blockboards, and they are denser, heavier, stronger and also generally costlier.

Blockboard thickness is usually measured in mm (metric system)
Various Thickness available are 16mm, 19mm, 25mm, 30mm, 35mm, 40mm

Plain and Pre laminated MDF and Particle Boards

Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) is an engineered wood product made by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibres, often in a defibrator, combining it with wax and a resin binder, and forming panels by applying high temperature and pressure. MDF is generally denser than plywood.

Particle board, also known as chipboard, is an engineered wood product manufactured from wood chips, sawmill shavings, or even sawdust, and a synthetic resin or other suitable binder, which is pressed and extruded.

Both these products are available in plain sheet forms. They can be worked with to form furnitures as with Plywoods and Blockboards and finished with laminates.

They are also available in prelaminated form where the sheets are pre-pressed with printed papers and can be worked with machines to make modular furnitures.

Plain, Pre Laminated and Embossed Cement Sheets:

It is the light weight building & decoration board used as natural fibre reinforced and because of the cement, it is strong and has the waterproof feature through which it's performance is better. The cement sheets offered by us are of high quality and has gained much popularity in the domestic market.

They are of different varieties like plain, pre laminated and embossed cement sheets .Some of the important features which they have are that they are Corrosion resistant, economical and maintenance free.

Wooden Lumber and Wooden Beading:

A Wooden bead is a woodworking decorative treatment which are applied to various elements of wooden furniture, boxes and other items. A bead is typically a rounded shape which is cut into a square edge to soften the edge and provide some protection against splitting. Wooden beading gives a finishing touch to your room making it look very elegant and rich.

We deal with wood like steam beech, white beech, sycra mode, maple, wenge, teak.

Adhesive (Wood):

We trade with PVA water based adhesive for wood joinery, lamination, and veneers fixing. We also trade with marine grade, which is water proof, and is used in places where their is dampness.

One of the adhesive is the fast drying adhesive which drys on the surfaces much faster than the other adhesives.

Acrylic Solid surface

Solid surface is a generic name given to a polymerised decorative surfacing material. It is generally made, using Acrylic or Polyester Resin, Solids, Chips and Pigments or Dyes acrylic or polyester resin as bonding agent, solids such as Aluminium Trihydrate (ATH) and polymerised granules (chips) these are used for their fire retardant properties and enhancement of effect and colour. Paste pigments or dyes are also used for producing plain colours or in conjunction with chips for background colours.
Solid Surface are classified based on the polymeric resin materials used for producing it namely
  • Acrylic Solid surface using Filled Acrylic Polymers,
  • Polyester Solid Surface using Filled Polyester Polymers and
  • Blended or Modified solid surface useing Filled Acrylic-Polyester Blend Polymers. The solid or filler most often used is Alumina Trihydrate (ATH).

External HPL Cladding

HPL panels (decorative paper-based plastic, high pressure laminate, compact laminate) are decorative panels manufactured by simultaneous pressing of layers of cellulose fiber material impregnated with thermosetting resins and specially pre-treated craft paper subjected to both pressure and heat. Polycondensation of resins takes place and results in monolythic homogeneous material with no risk of delamination in the process of use. The decorative surface of compact laminate is additionally protected by a special coating layer ensuring panels' exquisite resistance to fading.

Compact laminates :

Compact Laminate is constructed with layers of Kraft paper, dipped in resin and dried. These layers are then sandwiched between laminated top and bottom sheets, compressed and baked.

They are perfect for virtually unlimited interior uses and are used vertically or horizontally for toilet and shower cubicles, wall paneling, lab benches, tables, office furniture, lockers, lockers in resorts, hotels, spa, cubicles in shower, toilet, airports, school , collages, companies. in fact almost anything. And as for cleaning it really is low maintenance and most things can be washed off with soapy water. Even most difficult stain can be removed without damaging the panel. They  are also used internal wall cladding, and for electrical panel boxes.

Laminate Sheets

Laminates are made up of papers (Kraft paper and Decorative printed paper) that are treated with chemical resins that impart them with strength and stiffness covered with a clear translucent paper. The main ingredients required in the manufacturing process are listed below.

  • Brown paper (such as the one used for brown paper bags. It is also known as Kraft paper)
  • Phenolic resin (which is made from phenol and is the basic material used for making plastic)
  • Decorative printed paper (this will have the printed decorative design for the face of the sunmica/laminate sheet)
  • Melamine resin(A clear transparent resin for treating the decorative paper)
  • Clear translucent paper (which forms the topmost overlay of the decorative laminated sheet)

The Decorative printed paper are selected based on design to be printed from different manufacturers. The various types of designs are

  • Plain
  • Wood Grains
  • Floral
  • Stone
  • Fabric
  • Metallic
  • Digital Prints
  • Abstract

Laminates also have various textured surface embosed on it using steel plates at the time of manufacture. The most common textures are

  • Suede
  • Matt
  • Satin
  • Gloss

Acrylic Laminate Sheets

Decorative plastic laminate sheeting is made of resins that react with aldehydes during the thermosetting process. The resins are laminated onto layers of kraft paper topped with a decorative sheet. Kraft paper is the same brown paper used in grocery bags. A type of finish similar to lacquer, acrylic is a non-toxic, reflective high gloss finish which can give cabinets a perfectly smooth appearance. Laminate is a synthetic coating glued to the cabinet box and/or doors. Usually craft paper and resin fused with heat, it can be manufactured in a wide variety of colors, patterns and textures, including wood grain.
